GEWI extends TIC software range

GEWI has expanded its range of range of traffic information centre (TIC) software by adding sensor processing, navigation testing, RDS-TMC decoding, lobby traffic information presentation and significant TIC editor features.

The new TIC Server Sensor add-on converts raw sensor data into encoded events for onward processing by the existing core TIC Server and TIC Editor applications.

TIC NavTest is claimed to be ideal for navigation set and motor vehicle manufacturers. Already in use by DaimlerChrysler, Audi, Blaupunkt and Delphi, it is a software package used with an RDS encoder and low-power radio transmitter to simulate RDS-TMC conditions.

The new TIC RDS-TMC Decoder can be used to retrieve on-air radio RDS-TMC messages, sending decoded and reconstructed events to the TIC Server for onward processing and distribution.

TIC Slideshow can be used in hotel foyers, airports and other driver service stations to present live traffic and travel information on a provider-branded computer screen.
