ITS America (The Intelligent Transportation Society of America) was established in 1991 as a non-profit organization to foster the use of advanced technologies in surface transportation systems. ITS America members include private corporations, public agencies, and academic institutions involved in the research, development and design of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) technologies to enhance safety, increase mobility, and sustain the environment.
GEWI is a pro-active supporter of ITS America and its mission. GEWI participates in the ITS America Policy and Business Council and GEWI’s CEO North America, Jim O’Neill serves as Chairman on the Committee for Performance Measures.
GEWI staff has also presented papers and speeches on advanced traffic technologies at ITS America Conferences.
