Austrian State Uses TIC for Winter Road Conditions and Work Zones
Since 2010, the Austrian Federal State of Niederösterreich has been using TIC to create and distribute information about winter road conditions and work zones for the entire 14,000km road network.

The 19th annual ITS World Congress featured over 1,000 expert presentations and 15,000 square metres of exhibit space. Hundreds of delegates from more than 25 countries around the world visited GEWI’s exhibit stand to view the latest enhancements to TIC3 including distribution of traffic data to the newest generation of variable message signs (VMS). GEWI will also demonstrate TIC for the iPad which provides a very user friendly solution for mobile traffic entry.

Sony and Grundig were GEWI’s early clients along with the Automobile Association (AA) in the UK for which GEWI created TMC Office, the predecessor of what today is TIC.
