MIB TMC Location Data

Being able to geographically locate places, events and incidents is essential for any location based service but as RDS-TMC has limited resources for broadcasting data, TMC Location tables using unique codes for point locations was developed. GEWI have been at the forefront of this development and although not its core business has created a limited number of its own TMC Location tables for Singapore and Indonesia. The MIB TMC location Data product are is compliant with the current version of the standard, ISO 14819 part 3 – Location Referencing Rules, and the latest version of the Location Coding Handbook of the TMC Forum.

The MIB TMC Location Data product can be provided in multiple formats.

MIB TMC Location Data for Indonesia

GEWI created and owns the first TMC Location table for Indonesia that was certified by TISA in October 2009. With an initial coverage for 17 1st class roads and 695 2nd class roads in Jakarta, updating is in progress to include the metropolitan area of Greater Jakarta by 2012.

MIB TMC Location Data for Singapore

GEWI created and owns the first TISA certified TMC Location table for Singapore. The latest updated TMC Location Table version 1.2 that includes 9 motorways, 178 1st class roads, 349 2nd class roads and 156 car park locations.
