Car and navigation device manufacturers are able to provide an enhanced and interactive driver information experience, not only by providing traffic and travel event information along a route, but also to providing information about traffic flows such as traffic flowing freely or slowly. Connected vehicle services must be developed, prototyped, tested, and validated before being offered to consumers.
TIC can be used to collect vehicle data from a car or navigation manufacturer systems, automatically converting data such as location and speed into traffic flows, then merging this data the traffic flows from other vehicles and other sources.
TIC can be used during each stage of connect vehicle service development and operation. TIC supports several TPEG applications with a standard request-response protocol over THTTP connections, as usually implemented over mobile and cell phone internet connections.
TIC can simulataneously support multiple TPEG client profiles for many different devices. Depending on the TPEG application used by the devices, TIC can respond with personalized data packages, which can also include weather and parking data.
