Traffic and travel information is provided to travelers using many different types services such as radio and television reports, websites, and navigation devices. Travellers can use the information to prepare journies or be alerted during a journey.
TIC can be used to collect and create a wide variety of data including traffic incidents, travel events, weather conditions, parking availability and pricing, and many more. The data can also be harmonized, exchanged, purchased, or sold to different traffic and travel information providers.
TIC allows data to be manually created by operators entering information using a easy-to-use dialog with drop-down lists, maps, and quick auto-completion. Data can created using the TIC Client application on computers, iPad, or over internet connections. Data can also be automatically created from other data, for example traffic and travel event data from traffic flow data.
