At the 2011 ITS World Congress GEWI and BMW have teamed up for a connected vehicle technology demonstration October 16-20th in Orlando, Florida.
The demonstration will be held outdoors in the Mobility area of the Technology Showcase and features the collection of event, and advice data along with real-time location data from a roadwork vehicle. This data is then processed by the TIC software and relayed as information to the driver of the BMW vehicle as a Local Hazard Warning (LHW) message displayed in the vehicle on the navigation device.
