Solution for broadcasters
Drivers worldwide rely on radio traffic news reports to alert them about traffic and travel conditions before and during their travel.

Station producers collect and create traffic and travel event information, create structured news reports, and often distribute news for other programs, and data to other information services.

Station announcers read structured traffic news reports, either on-air or recorded for later, using timed and scrolled newsreader applications.

Create traffic reports drivers can rely on
TIC is used by radio station producers and announcers to create accurate traffic information which is then uniquely stylized and structured into traffic news reports, for example by area, road class, event type, language, and station.

Consistently inform and alert travelers
The same data can be immediately distributed to different systems used to inform or alert drivers, helping to avoid conflicting information in websites, news reports, and navigation systems.

Alert drivers of danger
TIC can be used to immediately alert drivers about an on-coming vehicle driving the wrong way on the road.

TIC can set priorities to alert traffic announcers to immediately interrupt a program, and can sent a high priority flagged alert to all other systems, such as for navigation and mobile devices.

Produce data automatically
Data can be automatically collected from other systems and can also be automatically created, for example traffic events from traffic flow data.

Read timed and formatted news
Radio station announcers can use the TIC newsreader application or an Interner browser connected to a TIC system, to read scripted, formatted, selected, timed, and scrolled traffic news reports, either for on-air or for pre-record announcements.

Produce easy to understand news reports
TIC uses templates to define easy to understand structured news reports with customized styles for each radio program and station. The templates are used to automatically create unique news reports based on the current traffic and travel event data, filtered by criteria such as location, road class, and event type.

Produce news in natural spoken text
TIC can automatically create news in natural spoken text, including different styles and languages, all from the same traffic and travel data.

Improve information by reporting delay times
TIC can be used to collect traffic flow data from service providers and can manually and automatically insert the delay time into the traffic new story about an incident.

Operate PAD with navigation information services
PAD (Program Associated Data) can optionally be operated alongside traffic information services, such as traffic news, RDS-TMC, and TPEG, inserting road images into DAB broadcasts.

Exchange data using traffic standards
TIC is being used worldwide by public agencies and commercial organizations to confidently exchange detailed and standardized information between customer and supplier systems, using coding standards such as TISA TMC, SAE, ISO, and DATEX II, and Internet formats such as XML, CSV, RSS, and Google KML.

News reports can be published and exchanged with other stations, programs, and agencies using stanard news report formats including IPTC and NewsML (XML).

Better understand the overall situation
TIC operators can better understand an overall situation by using multiple types of different data all processed and viewed on the same TIC system.

For example, traffic and travel events, weather, obstructions, road infrastructure, work zones, and traffic news can all be accurately processed and analyzed using the same digital map references.

Collaborate quickly with fewer errors
TIC can save operator time and workload with predefined templates, automated processes, and the prompting of next steps in a project.

Multiple teams use the same intuitive interface to quickly create information, helping to reduce response times and data entry errors.
Reach navigation systems
TIC creates accurate and precise data which is fully compatible with popular navigation systems by supporting international standards.

Standards include event and location coding such as TMC and openLR dynamic location referencing, and distribution by RDS-TMC (FM), connected TPEG binary (HTTP), broadcast TPEG binary (DAB), and tpegML exchanged between systems.

TIC uses precise digital map data which can be updated multiple times each year to match real world on the ground changes.

Intuitive and fast data entry
TIC operators are provided with a consistent and intuitive user interface to quickly create, update, check, and improve information, regardless of the data type, helping to shorten the time to learn and to reduce data entry errors.

TIC operators can easily understand data by viewing information in one or more windows types such as lists and charts, and geographically using intuitive maps with selectable layers.

Accurate data entry
TIC operators can be prompted to review the data they entered by TIC checking data accuracy, such as missing information, acceptable values, and data formats.

Reduce data entry
TIC saves operators time and effort by reusing data already stored on the system.

For example, names of selected roads and other location details are automatically reused.

Use multiple information sources
Information can created and updated using reports, such as by telephone, email, and apps, from multiple sources including drivers, news reporters, police and fire stations, and government road agencies.

Work productively with proven solution
TIC is a proven solution used by hundreds of operators worldwide for rapid data entry while supporting information accuracy and quality.

TIC can save operator time and workload with predefined templates, auto-complete data entry, and reminding of next steps, tasks, and activities, and reusing data to avoid data re-entry.

Import and reuse existing data
During system implementation, TIC can import existing data, helping to save time by reusing data and avoiding to manually re-create data.

Verify information
TIC can be easily used to verify and confirm information, by operators who are automatically presented with related local information, such as local camera images and other activities, and by system monitoring processes which can automatically detect conflicts in the same location or at the same time.

Easily share and exchange information
Data can be shared and exchanged with other systems, for example using the documented TIC XML format, or converted for use with other standard and custom formats.

Work everywhere
TIC can be conveniently used everywhere, such as operations center computers, at remote locations using an internet browser, and even while mobile on the road.

Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) product
TIC is a COTS product which provides higher reliability at lower total cost and risk over several years when compared to build-your-own solutions or clones (one-time copies of other systems).

A TIC system is implemented simply by configuring the TIC product to meet a customer's requirements.

Solutions for real customer needs
GEWI solutions are based on customer requests received worldwide across a wide variety of organizations.

Each request is analyzed and processed, and could lead to a change in the TIC product, system configuration, services provided, or sales agreements.

Customers systems can include the standard TIC user feedback feature used to create accurate and detailed requests, for example automatic screenshots ready to be analyzed.
