GEWI User Group Workshop Series Underway for 2018

The first of several GEWI User Group Workshops was held 13-14 March at GEWI’s new office in Leipzig Germany for customers of the TIC for Radio News Solution. While other GEWI Workshops are organized by GEWI, this is organized by the public radio stations in Germany and Switzerland who use TIC Software for Traffic News.

The workshops are designed to share information about recently implemented project changes, discuss planned and considered product changes (such as public transport data), and discussions of problems, solutions and the impact of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GPDR).

User Group workshops are just one method for GEWI to connect with TIC customers. In addition to the networking benefits of in-person workshops, all users can take advantage of the TIC User Feedback product feature. While using the TIC Software, operators and project managers can send information about problems and ideas directly to the GEWI Product Development staff. GEWI then analyzes and agrees options for solutions with the customer, and implements the product changes. Users are also then able to track the status of suggested product changes online.

Two other User Group Workshops are planned for April at GEWI’s office in Leipzig, Germany. One, for State Road Agencies and a second for Police using the TIC Software. The agendas will be similar to the broadcaster workshop but State road agencies will also be presented with the new TIC Smart Client for Web Browser, and discuss Smart Work Zones and automated driving related to Work Zone impact.
